NASA has just completed a successful tour of South Africa. Over 50 swimmers represented the association and Kenya at the Africa Development Swimming Challenge held in Newcastle, South Africa.
Amateur Swimming Association of Kenya (ASAK) has just released the qualifying times for the 7th All African Games to be held later this year in South Africa.
indicates that unfortunately for Kenyan Swimmers there will be no All-African Games. It was announced in the local press and electronic media that swimming was among other sports that were "not medal prospects". Once again our national sports officials somehow managed to show us how shallow their insight into the world of sports is. Informed sources tell us that the real story behind these last minute drops especially swimming is more due to politics that medals.
